About us
Miran "Marie" Lee established Marie Acupuncture Clinic in 2014, but this was far from her first experience working with patients from all over the world. Her journey with acupuncture started with a mentorship when she was 18 years old. Since then, she has been a private practitioner seeing patients in their home. Word of mouth got around, and she was able to find her place in a small clinic in Ortigas Center. Now, she has worked with patients suffering from problems as simple as muscle pains and sprained ankles to addressing complex conditions like Bell's palsy and diabetes.
Acupuncture
We use sterilized medical-grade needles to puncture the skin and stimulate stressed nerves and knotted muscle fibers. Using a similar concept to defibrillators, the pin-prick pain relaxes the deeper tissues of the human body and allows it to reset.
Massage
Our therapists are uniquely trained to use acupressure to personalize your massage therapy. Unlike the one-size-fits-all sequences used by regular spas done to simply make you feel good, the therapists in our clinic focus on the healing process.
Cupping
Cupping uses a tugging pressure, as opposed to the pushing associated with massages, to relax your muscles. While you may be used to seeing glass cups attached to a vacuum in other places, we use specialized ceramic cups and a candle flame the traditional way.
Moxibustion
Moxa, or dried mugwort leaves, are burned near the skin slowly as a counterirritant to internal pain. The herbal smoke also contributes to aromatherapy. We do moxibustion in two ways: accompanied with acupuncture, or simply on its own.
